Terms and Conditions
General Terms
By proceeding to book and pay a booking fee, you accept the following terms and conditions.
It is the client's responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions in order to abide by them.
Deposits
To secure a booking, a deposit will be required prior to the booking date. This amount will then be taken off the overall price of the booking. This applies to trial bookings too.
If a client does not show up or cancels a booking, the paid deposit will be non-refundable.
If you have a trial and decide not to proceed with my services, the £100 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Cancellations
If you need to postpone your occasion or change the date due to unexpected circumstances, you will be able to move your booking to a new available date free of charge, with at least 6 weeks' notice.
If no dates are available to swap, the full amount of the total booking cost will be lost.
If you cancel just a trial makeup booking, you would lose the deposit.
Any additional date changes will require a new deposit to secure the new booking.
Booking transfers are strictly subject to availability — please inform me early so I can try my best to move your booking to your new chosen date.
If a cancellation was to be made by myself, due to unforeseen severe circumstances beyond my control, a partial refund would be given.
I would try my best to rectify the situation; however, it is advised for brides to find wedding insurance prior to their special day to financially cover these situations, as Mastered by Millie is not liable for uncontrollable circumstances.
If any of your bridal party decide to pull out of the booking once you have paid the full amount, I will be unable to refund for any cancellations after full payment has been made.
Payments
In order to secure a wedding date booking, a deposit will be required.
Trials are required before a wedding to ensure the bride/bridal party are happy with their makeup.
Please note the £100 deposit secures your wedding date up until the final amount is due, either at the trial or, if you do not have a trial, one week before your special day.
Once you are happy with your makeup at the trial, the amount must be paid at the trial to fully book your wedding date — please have the final payment ready.
If payment is not made at the trial, your wedding date may be released for others to book.
In the rare occasion you choose not to proceed with me after the trial, the trial cost must still be paid. If this is not paid, I will be forced to take legal action.
Trial only bookings:
£30 deposit required.
If you cancel, the money will not be refunded.
Booking just a trial does not secure your wedding date.
Wedding booking deposits:
Must be paid prior to the trial.
Deposit starts at £100 and increases based on party size.
At the trial appointment:
I will ensure you're happy with the makeup by making changes as needed.
If you're happy at the end of the trial, the full wedding payment is taken then.
Deposit will be taken off this price.
If you cancel after the trial, the deposit is lost.
For more information on prices or add-ons, contact me for a quote.
All payments must be made via bank transfer.
Additional Expenses
Certain dates and locations may cost extra depending on the location and date.
Dates between the 18th December and the 31st December will incur an extra £100 on top of your quoted service amount.
Travel costs are based on location and discussed when booking. Please ensure you're happy with the quoted travel costs before securing your booking.
Client Responsibilities
To guarantee availability, the client must contact me prior to confirm their chosen date is available.
If you book a date without checking, I will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee availability.
Trial Bookings
Most trials are done during the week due to weddings on weekends.
I may take trials on weekends if I'm free.
Occasionally trials may be moved to prioritise weddings — this will be free of charge.
Clients are encouraged to book weekday trials to avoid rescheduling.
Brides: 3 hours is plenty of time to test different looks and finalise your desired style.
Bridesmaids and bridal party: 1 hour and 30 minutes is typically enough for hair and makeup.
If a client goes over the 3 hours at a trial, an extra £25 per hour will be charged.
Wedding Booking Requirements
All bride makeup bookings require a trial.
This doesn't apply to the rest of the bridal party, but trials are recommended for everyone.
Before the wedding or occasion, clients must provide:
• Location, arrival time, schedule, and any travel restrictions.
This ensures I can arrive on time.
A booking form will be requested before the wedding.
On your wedding day, I may have another booking. This is completely normal, and I schedule ample time between bookings to ensure all clients receive the best service on their big day.
Assistant Work
On occasion, assistants will accompany me to certain bookings to assist with the booking.
All assistants have great experience in the bridal industry and many have university degrees in bridal makeup.
Please note: there will now be no refunds for any extra costs paid towards assistants if they are unable to make the booking.
Social Media
On your special day, I may ask to take pictures of your makeup for promotional use online or on social media.
If there is a photographer, I may request access to those images for promotional use as well.
I will always double-check with the bride and bridal party before doing so — it is up to the client to notify me if they are not comfortable with this.
Allergies & Contraindications
It is the client's responsibility to inform the artist of any allergies or past reactions before makeup application or hairstyling.
We reserve the right to refuse application if any party has contagious conditions or flu-like symptoms, including a temperature.
To protect your health and that of our team and clients, the following contraindications may prevent or restrict service:
• Eye infections (e.g., conjunctivitis), cold sores/facial herpes, open or weeping wounds or sores, fungal infections (e.g., ringworm), warts, cystic acne, severe sunburn, burns (including from waxing), eczema, psoriasis, head lice/nits, scabies, impetigo, bruising, open cuts, and flu-like symptoms.
If you have suffered from any of these previously, please consult your GP to discuss prevention and care.
All brushes, tools, and products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between each makeup application. Please allow time for this.
Clients must disclose any skin or hair condition prior to application. A sample test may be performed to test for any reactions.
Clients agree to release the artist from liability for any skin complications or allergic reactions. This responsibility lies with the client and is stated clearly in our Terms & Conditions.
We cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damages, costs, claims, or actions that may occur.
Products are selected carefully for quality and individual suitability, but we make no guarantees regarding reaction or performance.
Prior to any application, we will consult with you about your skin type, hair/skin conditions, and preferences.
It is the client's responsibility to inform us of any illnesses, pregnancies, disabilities, or conditions within the bridal party that may impact services. These must be disclosed at the time of booking.
Discounts
Prices are non-negotiable once we have agreed on your final booking price.
Deals may be added to my page after you’ve secured your booking. These are only available to those who have not yet booked.
Deals are limited to specific times and dates as stated in the promotion. If you’ve already booked, the deal cannot be applied retroactively.
There is no discount if you do not want or require complementary services included in packages — e.g. no trial, no lashes, no brow shape, or late bookings. These are optional extras included for enhancement.
We do not offer partial service discounts (e.g. eyes only), as good makeup requires balance and harmony across the entire face.
There are no discounts for reduced numbers on your special day or for the trial.
Timings on the Day
It is the client's responsibility to ensure all details are correct on the final booking receipt, including services, location, timings, dates, and contact details.
Timings are discussed in advance with the bride and must be adhered to by the entire bridal party.
On your special day, I set off early to account for traffic, road works, accidents, or other natural disruptions.
If there are known travel restrictions at the trial or wedding location, the bridal party must inform me.
In the event I arrive late, please don’t worry — I always schedule buffer time to ensure the day still runs smoothly.
In the case of an act of nature or hazard outside my control, I will notify you immediately. The total amount is non-refundable unless the date can be moved to an available date in my diary.
